There is so much to discover on the GOLDPRINZ collage bed, adorned with hundreds of vintage die-cut pictures.
A myriad of stickers adorn the bed all the way round. Angels, flowers, fairies, birds, butterflies and much, much more. This creates the impression of blooms arranged in a painting. Wafer thin slivers of gold leaf are then applied by hand to the edges.
Finally, the surface is aged with a special patina to give the bed a popular used look.

GOLDPRINZ produces children’s furniture in the form of individual works of art, so completely different to standard, mass-produced items. In a world where everything has been standardised, where it is more and more difficult to find one’s own interior design style, the GOLDPRINZ workshop, located in a charming, old factory building in Hamburg, produces design rarities using skilled craftsmen employing the highest degree of perfection.
Every piece of furniture is made of solid wood. Wood is an honest material which lives and ages beautifully, which fits seamlessly into its surroundings and which develops a certain patina-like charm as it is used over many years. The furniture is constructed to be especially stable and secure, and welcomes any rough and tumble children can throw at it. The construction of the GOLDPRINZ beds utilises a centuries old bed building tradition: tongue and groove, glue and so-called ‘Berlin bed hooks’ with which the sections of the bed are easily assembled without the need for screws which would spoil the overall aesthetics.
